The murder of Fred Hampton (Documentary - 89 min)
I remember watching this movie for the first time at 19 and it changed me forever. I was and still am mesmerized by what such a young sould managed to accomplish in only 21 years on earth. Actually, the moment I turned 21, I thought about him, one of my heroes, thought about my life and felt vaccuous and worthless.
The film opened on Hampton giving a speech to the BPP and showing amazing oratory skills and charisma. Blessed are those in whom greatness is born.
“You can kill the revolutionary, but you can’t kill the revolution …you can jail a liberator but you can’t jail liberation “
Fred Hampton (August 30, 1948 – December 4, 1969)
The gif got it worng lol. “You Can Jail a Revolutionary,
But You Can’t Jail the Revolution” is actually one of Huey Newton’s quotes.
oh. reblogging to watch later
